The StarkNet Foundation is pleased to announce the allocation of 1.8 billion Stark tokens (STRK) for user rebates and provisions. This allocation will come from the previously announced allocation of the EcoFund, which is part of the overall allocations of the StarkNet reserves.
The user rebates and provisions are intended to provide an incentive for users to utilize the StarkNet blockchain, whether it is for purchases, making transactions, or simply transferring of funds. The allocations will be provided in several ways, including but not limited to:
• User rewards for participating in a staking pool
• Discounts and other incentive programs for using STRK tokens
• Grants and subsidies for participating in a research project
• Referral bonuses for referring new users to StarkNet
With these allocations, the Foundation is striving to extend the benefits of the blockchain technology and to create a vibrant ecosystem.
Additionally, a committee will be formed to oversee the usage and distribution of the 1.8B STRK tokens. This committee will be comprised of representatives from StarkNet, the StarkNet Foundation, and other industry stakeholders. Their responsibilities will include ensuring that the tokens are used efficiently and that the user provisions are fair and equitable.
Through the allocation of the EcoFund and the formation of the committee, the Foundation is continuing to show its commitment to the development of the StarkNet ecosystem. This is a further step towards making sure the best interests of the community are taken into account and that the technology and network are used to their fullest potential.
