Congressman Goldman and his family sought shelter from Hamas rocket fire while in Israel for the Congressman’s son’s Bar Mitzvah. The family sought shelter in a nearby bomb shelter, and the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv worked with the Israeli government to ensure the safety of the family. Rep. Goldman has since spoken out about the need to confront Hamas and threats to peace and stability in the region.
