Democrat Bob Casey concedes Pennsylvania Senate race to Dave McCormick, ending recount
Under Biden’s landmark climate law, the Clean Energy and Sustainability Accelerator, investment in renewable energy projects in lower-income communities will receive a sizable portion of the $10 billion allocated. This program will expand access to renewable energy resources for community-based organizations in underserved communities, while also allowing those same organizations to benefit economically from any profits made from the clean energy projects. Additionally, Biden’s plan includes a new 10% competitive set-aside of available funding for projects located in areas disproportionately impacted by pollution and environmental problems. This could help to propel investment in clean energy efforts in poorer areas, allowing them to benefit from the same clean energy and climate opportunities available to more affluent communities.
