Democrat Bob Casey concedes Pennsylvania Senate race to Dave McCormick, ending recount
The “Pharmageddon” protest, which is spreading to several cities in India is leading to the potential closing of pharmacies across the country. The protest was started by the All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists (AIOCD), who are claiming that e-pharmacy players are operating illegally and without the requisite regulatory clearances. AIOCD claims that the e-pharmacy players are competing unfairly and creating an unlevel playing field and is calling for the shutting down of such pharmacies. The protest has already led to the closure of numerous e-pharmacy stores, and if it continues, it could lead to the closing of several conventional pharmacies as well. It remains to be seen if the Indian government can successfully mediate the dispute between the two sides, or if the “Pharmageddon” protest will persist and pose a potential threat to Indian healthcare.
