Any situation in which an innocent person is hurt or killed is unconscionable and should never be taken lightly, and a tragedy of this magnitude would certainly not be suitable grounds for a wedding to continue. If the officiant fired the gun, and it led to harm or death, they should face the appropriate consequences.
