McConnell is specifically calling on Biden to include increased resources for border enforcement, including more personnel, sensors, and surveillance equipment.
In addition, McConnell is calling on Biden to support important U.S. allies, such as Israel and Ukraine. He has urged the budget request to prioritize funding for key military efforts abroad—such as the Iron Dome missile defense system in Israel and security assistance for Ukraine—which help bolster U.S. national security. Finally, McConnell is expressing his support for efforts to combat climate change and to invest in research and development of clean energy technologies.
