I think there may be a bit of confusion here. Lisa McClain is indeed a Republican representative as of 2021, but she wasn’t elected to replace Elise Stefanik in House GOP leadership. Elise Stefanik was elected to replace Liz Cheney as the Chair of the House Republican Conference, the third-ranking position in GOP House leadership. If there has been a recent change, it hasn’t been widely reported yet.
